I just found this website, and am intrigued on several levels. I'm a pre-schooler's mom and a PhD student studying temperance, probably with an eye towards contemporary food discussions. This book and this site will be great to read & consider.

Also... I'm that mom who never, ever seems to remember to pack snacks for my kids, anywhere, anytime. So as much as I enjoyed the post about comparing snacks, I felt a little guilty, even sitting at the library.

Oh, finally I understand why I've turned into such a chocoholic since moving here! And I thought it was just me ... I'm feeling less guilty now about that scumptious chocolate icecream cone, the piece of bitter chocolate with my midday coffee and ... okay, I'll even admit this, a breakfast bowl of Special K with chocolate at my mother-in-law's this morning (can't bring myself to buy it either, but it's actually much yummier than it deserves to be ..) - all in one day. Moi aussi, je t'aime, Paris! :-)

PS Can this be .. have I actually managed to post a comment? This calls for a chocolate celebration!! :-)
